1. Dialogue
➤ 미소: 나나 씨, 왜 한국으로 유학 가려고 해요?
➤ 나나: 미소 씨도 알다시피 제가 한국어를 배우고 있잖아요.
한국에 가서 한국어도 더 배우고 더 많은 한국 문화를 경험해 보고 싶어요.
➤ 미소: 맞아요. 언어는 그 나라에서 배우는 것이 가장 좋은 방법이긴 해요.

Miso: Nana, why do you want to study abroad in Korea?
Nana: As you know, I am learning Korean. I want to go to Korea to learn more Korean and experience more Korean culture.
Miso: Right. The best way to learn a language is to learn a language in that country.
2. Usage
❏ Adjective/Verb + 잖아요, N + 이잖아요/잖아요
❏ 1) Check the fact: it indicates that both a speaker and a listener are aware of the fact or the content of a topic.
❏ 2) Remind: when the other person does not know or does not remember a certain fact, it is used to remind it.
❏ 3) Rebuke: the speaker already advised the other person, but something bad happened because they did not listen to it. In this case, it is used to scold or rebuke them.

1) 미소: 왜 한국으로 유학 가려고 해요?
나나: 미소 씨도 알다시피 제가 한국어를 배우고 있잖아요. (있다 + 잖아요)
2) 나나: 놀이공원에 사람이 정말 많네요.
미소: 오늘 공휴일이잖아요. (공휴일 + 이잖아요)

Miso: It's a holiday today.
(2) Remind
1) 미소: 우리 이번 주말에 여행 갈까요?
나나: 저 이번 주말에는 회사에 가야 하잖아요. (하다 + 잖아요)
미소: 아 맞아. 요새 많이 바쁘다고 했지요?
2) 미소: 오늘 무슨 날이에요? 웬 케이크예요?
나나: 오늘 미소 씨 생일이잖아요. (생일 + 이잖아요)
미소: 오늘이 제 생일이군요. 내일인 줄 알았어요.

4. Grammar information
❏ '-잖아요' can be used with '-시-' and '-았/었/했-.' (O)
1) -시-: 부모님이 오늘 한국에 오시잖아요. (O) (오다 + 시 + 잖아요)
((As you know) My parents are coming to Korea today.)
2) -았/었/했-: 어제 비빔밥을 먹었잖아요. (O) (먹다 + 었 + 잖아요)
((I remind you that) I ate bibimbap yesterday.)
❏ '-잖아요' cannot be used with '-겠-.' (X)
1) -겠-: 부모님이 내일 오시겠잖아요. (X) (오시다 + 겠 + 잖아요)
((As you know) My parents are coming to Korea tomorrow.)

1) Final Consonant O&X
- 먹다 + 잖아요 → 먹잖아요
- 가다 + 잖아요 → 가잖아요
(2) Noun
1) Final Consonant O: -이잖아요
